Power cables in India are extensively used by civilization as per the convenience. Many people mistakenly name electrical cables as electrical wires. However, the terms are different- wire is a single conductor of power electricity and cable carries multiple conductors within a casing. Manufacturers of power cables and wires offer different types and designs for power cables for industrial purposes. They also deliver single conductor power cables on request of the customers. The Classification of Power Cables:

Non-Metallic (NM) Cables- These power cables are ideal for dry locations and are generally installed inside the walls. Non-metallic power cables have three wires- hot wire, grounding wire and a neutral wire.

Multi conductor Cables- These are widely accepted Power cables in India. MC cables are ideal for domestic appliances and are easy to use. These cables are generally used for domestic purposes due to safest and easiest installation process.

PTFE cables' demand is rising in India

Industries are still making PVC as their first choice for low voltage and communication applications. However, due to less prevention against high heat and temperature, they are now inclining towards PTFE or Teflon based cables. These cables possess high heat resistant feature and are light in weight.
